BYU Women's Conference!

I had the opportunity to go to the BYU Women's Conference. I got a free ticket for helping a lady in our ward make kits and pass them out before the conference started. It was an early day. I got up at 5:30am and showered and got dressed, picked my friend Brooke up and headed to the Marriott Center to be there by 6:30am. We had a prayer meeting and then got instructions on what we were suppose to do. At 7:30am we started passing out the kits. At 8:30am we were done and ready for our day at the conference. It was absolutley amazing. Julie Beck was the speaker for the opening session. She gave such great counsel and told us amazing stories. I just love her. Then when that was over Brooke, Robin, and myself headed to the Wilkinson Building for Lunch and our next class. Well....we didn't get into that class because it was already full. So we went to the class that we wanted to attend next and started a line so that we could make sure that we had a spot. We chit chatted for about an hour waiting for our class. I just love those two women. We had such a great time. We went to the class on Finding Happiness and Nobility in Motherhood. It was a great class with two great speakers. Then we headed to our next class on Clinging to the Rod of Iron. The class was about the Book of Mormon. Another fantastic class. After that we went home. I took Noah to "moms and muffins" for his school then went back to meet Brooke and Robin so that we could go to the evening Concert. We went for ice cream first then went to the concert. The concert was amazing. It had the FAb 5, Hilary Weeks, Michael McLean, Alex Boye, Dallyn Bayles, and Mercy River. It was the neatest thing I have ever been to. I will definetly go next year. The opportunities I have had here in Utah have been live changing. I LOVE IT HERE.

Jadey Wedding Dress Pictures!

Here are a few pictures of Jadey in her Wedding Dress. She loves to have her picture taken. She is such a sweet girl and I am so happy for her to be part of our family.

Pictures!

These are just some random pictures Noah and I took one afternoon. I wanted to get his picture with the BYU Cougar that is right outside the football stadium which is like a block or two from our apartment.

Pinewood Derby!

We had our ward pinewood derby on Tuesday night. We had to be there a little early to get your car weighed, names, and given a number. The cars had to weight a certain amount so the leaders had pennies that we could tape on to make them weight the right amount. Chris and Noah are below getting his car taped up with pennies so that it would be ready to race. There is a couple in the ward who helped the boys carve out their cars. Then at a scout meeting they painted and decorated their cars. This was Noah's 1st year because our ward back home didn't do one last year. Noah had so much fun and worked really hard on his car. He just loves being a scout.

Below is a picture of Noah with his car after he won 1st place. He did awesome. His car was really fast. Each boy got to race his car a bunch of times. Noah won 1st place twice, second place twice, 3rd place once, and fourth place a few times. Some of the boys obviously have fathers and brothers who have done this before because they had awesome cars. We learned a lot about what to do with Noah's car next year. Here is Noah going to the end of the track to watch his car. He loved this activity. All the boys had a blast. We are so blessed to have such a great ward.

Spring Soccer

Noah loves to play soccer. He is such an athlete. This year he was on the Rock Canyon team. He did awesome. His favorite position this year was goalie. He did a great job. He had an awesome coach. The team did very well.
This is Noah taking a break. He doesn't like to sit out but everyone has to take a turn sitting out so that all the players get a turn. Each person ended up sitting out for about 5 mins of each game. That's not bad, but when you are full of energy it isn't so much fun.

I took my own soccer pictures this year because the day they did pictures our team decided not to take them because it was freezing outside and wet and nobody, including me, wanted to wait around for that. It was bad enough I couldn't feel my toes at that game. BRRRRRRRRRRR! With my new camera and editing program, I didn't really care. I just wanted heat and hot chocolate.

Josh has arrived!

My brother Josh has been attending BYU Hawaii for the last year. He got home from his mission in March 2009. I remember telling him last summer that he would be married by next summer. He told me, oh no that he was going to wait like 3 or 4 years. Well.......I was right. Josh is getting married on May 8th of this year. What did I say!!!! So Josh flew in 2 weeks ago and is staying with us until the Wedding. It has been nice having family here and Noah has really had fun showing Josh around. We took Josh to one of our favorite places, Bridal Veil Falls. It is so beautiful. Noah and Josh climbed the waterfall and I sat on a rock and took pictures with my new camera. Noah decided he was going to try to build a dam with rocks and stick at the top. Josh just kept climbing until he saw snow. LOL He is not use to this cold weather. I would feel sorry for him, except he has been living in Hawaii for the past year. Sorry....no simpathy from me. I have been living in snowville for a year. Speaking of which I woke up this morning to snow. CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!This is a picture of me at Bridal Veil Falls. I was sitting on a rock taking pictures and decided to take a picture of my feet. The water was like ice. I am surprised that my feet didn't fall off.

Happy 9th Birthday Noah!!!!!!

I can't believe that I am the mother of a 9 year old now. I have never thought of myself as "old" but now I am starting to think maybe I am getting there. I feel so blessed to have such an amazing son. He is the sweetest boy I know. He may not always listen to me but he is always thinking of others feelings. He is such a joy. We had his party on his birthday (April 10). We did cupcakes (confetti cupcakes) with cream cheese frosting, because that is what he wanted. Then we had Little Caesars Pizza and presents. Chris took all the boys over to one of the fields to play football and basketball. They had a lot of fun. Noah got a bunch of great gifts. SPOILED!!!!!

Here we are singing "Happy Birthday"!
Opening Presents!

Pizza Time at the park. Some of the other boys sat on the playground to eat! These guys wanted a table.

Here they are. And yes Mason is cradling Noah like a baby. Those two boys are crazy but they are the best of friends. From left to right: Noah, Mason, Ben, Alrek, Santiago, and Mattias. What a group they were. They were all very well behaved.

That's right 9 years old. Boy does time fly by.....way to fast.

Spring Break!

Well, Spring Break has begun and of course we don't just want to sit around all day. So I took Noah and his friend Mason to the Lehi Recreation Center. It is about 20 minutes north of Provo. We were going to swim at their indoor waterpark but then got sidetrack by the rock climbing wall. Noah loved it. He climbed all the way to the top. Guess he isn't scared of heights like me and my dad. I would have peed in my pants if I had gotten that high.
We finally made it to the pool area. (which was my favorite part) They boys ran around and went down the tunnel slide. This slide is like a tunnel and part of it goes outside but you don't know it because well..........it's a tunnel. They did that several times. Then were just running around playing.

Then when we were done the boys were hungry. I figured we would stop somewhere to eat and they insisted on McDonalds. (not my favorite, but they wanted it) It also had a play area so they really wanted to eat there. I am not quite sure why they wanted ice cream cones considering it was snowing outside. Well that is it for the 1st day of Spring Break.
