Colorado Vacation take 2!

After we went to Pikes Peak we went to Helen Hunt Falls. It was one of the prettiest waterfalls I have ever seen. Once again Noah was climbing all over the place
The above picture is Helen Hunt Falls. Then we went and meet with one of Chris' Ward Mission Leaders. It was great to visit with them and get to know them. I got to hear a lot of great stories about Chris' Mission. It was a great experience for Noah too.
Then we went and got dinner and headed over to Seven Falls. It is a waterfall that glows at night. It was neat. I was expecting something a little better but there wasn't a great waterflow but it still was neat and I am glad that we went.
The picture below is of Noah and Chris as we were walking through the mountain to the elevator to get to the top of the waterfall. Inside the mountain was chilly.
It was such a great vacation. We will definitely go back for another vacation. Hopefully soon!

Our Vacation to Colorado Springs, Colorado-Summer 2010

What an amazing trip we had. I decided a month or so ago that I would like to take Chris on a special vacation as a thanks for all the hard work he has put into school, work, and our family. He has wanted to go back to Colorado Springs for a long time. Chris served his mission from 2003-2005 in Colorado Springs. So I set up a long weekend for us to go there on Vacation. We left on Thursday, a day after our 3 year Wedding Anniversary. It took 9 hours to drive from Provo to Colorado Springs. It was a long drive but it was beautiful. We arrived about 9pm and got something to eat at Chilis and then went to our hotel and went for a swim in the pool and hot tub.

On Friday we had a lot planned. We started off at Garden of the Gods. This is such an amazing place. It is a Garden of really HUGE Glacier Rock forms. Noah had a lot of fun climbing around on all the rocks and just playing around with Chris. Chris had been there once or twice on his mission and wanted to share it with us. It was great. A lot of walking but well worth it. Then we went to lunch and got gas before we headed to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. That is one of the best Zoos I have ever been too. It was on the side of the Mountain and the view was exceptional. We rode the Skylift (which you shouldn't do if you are terrified of heights) and saw completely across Colorado. It was great and scary all in one. Noah got to go for a pony ride and he loved it. The Zoo was huge and took most of our afternoon. We also tried to visit with a couple of families Chris worked with but nobody was home. BUMMER!!!! Then we were going to The Airplane Restaurant but were not really impressed so we decided to go to Red Robin instead. Then we just went back to the hotel for some swimming time.

Then on Saturday we got up and headed out to Pikes Peak. Another activity you shouldn't do if you are scared of heights, but it was worth it. Once we got to the top it was an amazing view and I am so glad that we went. It was about 30 degrees colder at the top so good thing we had sweatshirts in the back of the car. It was great up there.

The picture below is at one of the stop offs on the way up to Pikes Peak. It was so beautiful up there and the lake was great but FREEZING!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to one of the greatest dads I know. I couldn't be more happy with having Chris be the father of my children. He is such a great example and so much fun to be around. Noah is lucky to have such a great father. It is funny how much Noah and Chris are a like. What a blessing that it.

I am also grateful for my father. He has been such a great example to me and such a great support. I am the luckiest girl in the whole world to have such an amazing Father and Husband. Happy Father's Day to both of you! I love you both!

Wedding Anniversary!

3 years ago, I married my best friend. It was such a great day. We were married in the Washington D.C. LDS Temple. It was such a special ceremony and I have never been happier in my life. Noah was sealed to us for time and all eternity. I couldn't have asked for a better day. Noah and I danced to the song by Spongebob Squarepants. "The Best Day Ever". What a fitting song. It was the best day ever. Chris picked the song that we danced to. It was by Brad Paisley "She's my Everything". That song is perfect for us. I couldn't have asked for a better companion to spend Eternities with. The past three years he has made me feel so special and has treated me better than I could have ever imagined. He is the greatest husband and a remarkable father. I am truly blessed to have him in my life and look forward to all the years to come. He truly is my best friend and I couldn't image him not in my life. I am so grateful for the example he is for me and all that he teaches me. I am so grateful for the patience he has, because anyone that knows me knows that he would have to be extrememly patient to put up with me.
