New Hair Cut!

I go through stages where I want to let my hair grow out and then it gets to a certain length and I can't stand it anymore. It is usually spur of the moment and so I had to find someone to cut it that same day. When I went into where I was getting it cut, I thought, maybe I want some highlights too. Well, you know what happened............I ended up with a cute and highlights. I am really please with how it turned out. It is one of my favorite haircuts. Just a simply bob with some layers and good color. It really does make you feel like a new person when you get your hair done. I really really like it. It was funny too because I was wondering how long it would take Chris to notice. He isn't very observant. So that same day he noticed it was cut. You will never guess how long it took for him to figure out I got it colored too.........TWO WEEKS!!!!!!!! And I had to tell on myself for him to even notice. Oh well, at least he liked it too once he found out. LOL! This can actually work in my favor on so many levels.

Chris gets his braces off!!!

Chris finally got his braces off. He was so excited. He has had his braces on for a little over 2 years. They look amazing. He has really pretty teeth. So here are a few pictures that show off his amazing smile. Well.......the top picture is just him being silly and showing off his teeth. The below picture shows you how good they look.

March.......

Well this month has been pretty busy. Noah has started soccer. He is on the Rock Canyon team and has an amazing coach. Noah loves to play soccer and is really good at it. Right now his favorite position is GOALIE. He is actually really good at that too. His coach says that he is awesome at it. He is still doing scouts and is also taking piano lessons. He has an amazing piano teacher and he is really learning a lot. I like that he is learning funs song and also is starting to play some Primary songs. He is using a book that I actually used when I was taking piano lessons. He is doing really well in school. He has had a hard time concentrating but we are working on that and I know that he will continue to do awesome with school. He is so smart.
Chris had FTX (Field Training Exercise) for the ROTC this month. He has to go once a semester. He really enjoys the things they do. He doesn't really like being cold but he has found ways to stay warm and makes the best of it. He was happy that the heaters were working in their tents so it wasn't too bad. He also takes a bunch of hand warmers and sticks them in this gloves and socks. He also has mastered layering. He layers up really well and then he isn't too cold. He really likes the ROTC program and is glad that he chose to do it. In April we get to go to the Military Ball. I am excited about going because I get to dress up and look all fancy. Plus it is sad, but Chris and I haven't had a real date in quite awhile. We need it.

I am really sad to post this but I know that you guys will forgive us. We kind of skipped church on Sunday. I KNOW I KNOW............it is horrible. It had been a long weekend. Noah has had a bad couch for a couple days now and my left arm has been acting up and so I have been taking an anti-inflamitory and Chris had been at FTX all weekend and we were just so tired. I was up late Saturday night with my arm so I decided I would stay home with Noah and his nasty cough. I turned off my alarm at 7am and asked Chris "is your alarm set?" He said yes so I rolled over and went back to sleep. Noah comes in our room at 8:54am and asked if I would make him breakfast. I got up and looked at the clock and said "Chris are you going to church?" He relpies "YES". I said "well it's 8:54am" he rolls over says "crap nevermind". Then he went back to bed. Poor thing didn't get a lot of sleep and with preparing for finals he has been up really late at night studying and finishing up homework. He has had a heavy load this semester so I think missing church this one Sunday isn't too bad. We did make up for it by going to visit two Temples that afternoon. We decided to visit Jordan River Temple and the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. We started off at Jordan River which was closed so we couldn't walk the grounds but we did get to see it and it is beautiful. Then we headed over to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple, which is where my brother and Jadey will be sealed in a month. It was beautiful. It was such a nice day. It was pretty windy but sunny. We also drove around the neighborhood there called Daybreak. They have the nicest homes and the Temple is in their neighborhood. It has an awesome lake and so we got out and walked around and took tons of pictures and just enjoyed spending time together as a family. I am hoping to have some wedding pictures of my brother and Jadey at the lake. It would be an awesome spot for wedding pictures.

What's new.........

Ok I am now in my 4th week of school. Each class is 9 weeks long so I am almost halfway there. I am so excited. So far I am doing very well. I am really liking my classes and learning a lot. Who would have thought that it would be so much fun to be going back to school. I love it.
So it has been really nice here lately. I have been able to open my windows and air out the house, which I love. It has been in the mid to upper 50's all week. Then Thursday it started to snow at lunch time. It was so weird. I had my windows open in the morning and by lunch time I had to close them and put the heat back on. So today after I got Noah from school I took him snowboarding before he had to go to Scouts. We are having company for dinner so I have been cooking all day. It is going to be really yummy. Chris is almost done with this semester. I am so glad. He had a really big load this semester and has been studying a ton. I know that he will do well, but for anyone who knows Chris he is a worrier. I think that it will be good for him to have a small break before he starts his Spring/Summer classes. That's right now summer break for Chris. He is so dedicated. Noah is getting ready to start soccer this month and is really excited for that. He will be turning 9 in a few weeks. I can't believe that he is going to be 9 already. In 10 years he will be serving a mission. Boy does time fly by. I love that little guy so much.
